One improvement to the blog module would be to have it where one could save in draft mode.  One could do this at intervals as they are composing the post to avoid losing data; yes, most people compose directly in the editor instead of doing it off-line and copying and pasting.  It would allow one to compose, save, and then come back at a later date to finish.  Another improvement; and this is one that is on many other platforms, would be the ability to schedule a post to be published at a future date.  I could write a post that would be published on an upcoming holiday where I may be away from the computer on the particular day of the holiday.
