_FieldCaption_DateofBirth_View display error

I am having the following problem:

In members profile misc info I am getting:

_FieldCaption_DateofBirth_View

and under

pedit.php I am getting under status:

_FieldValues_Active

How can I correct this?

Thanks, Stuart

open join.php in one and admin in another.

They dont carry thru activation process.

Hello MrP.

I'm afraid I don't understand?

Open join.php in an editor? and Admin/builders etc?

This is the problem I have:

Admin Controls

The drop down menu items have the same problem.

Sorted the member 'Caption' problem, many thanks. Any ideas re the above?

Stuart,

  1. You need to go to your site. Log in to your admin panel (dashboard).
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Go to Language Settings.
  4. In that, under Language Settings click the Add new language key.
  5. This should open a new window.
  6. In "new language key name" input _FieldCaption_DateofBirth_View .
  7. Select what category this belongs in. If the category you want does not exist, you can create a new one by typing the new one in the respectable box.
  8. Do not input anything into the Language String Parameters.
  9. In the section for String texts for available lanugages, type Date of Birth.
  10. Make sure the check box for Recompile is selected and then click submit.
  11. Go to your site where the form is and refresh.

Repeat the steps above for _FieldValues_Active or any time you have similar issues.

I hoped this helped!  Mr. Prowless should have a video for this, as this is how I learned it when I opened my site.

Re _FieldValues_Active, what do I need to select in the 'Categories' section? Do I need to put anything in the 'string text' section?

Many thanks for your help!!

Stuart

you can put it in "Misc" category or you can change it to whatever category you want, or create a new one. This is to your preference. This won't affect users, to my knowledge.  The categories is there to help you categorize all of your language strings so you know what to edit if there are mulitple ones that may be similar.

String Text section should be "Active".

Hope this helps.
