[L[Access denied]] Rename This Message

Hi folks

If a user isnt registered they can see forum top levels but if this lick on any of them they get the above message - thats fine, its a teaser.

However where can I change this text to say something more meaningful like 'Please Register to see Forums'

Ta, Karl

Looks to me like your forum language is not compiled. The [L[ type brackets do not show up when the forum language is compiled. It should just say Access denied

Go to Manage Forums to compile the language. The forum languages are not in the admin panel like the rest of the system Those languages are in boonex\forum\integrations\base\langs

After you edit the language file you need to recompile from the manage forum section for all installed templates.

If you are running a custom template you need to compile the default UNI template first, then to the custom template.

awesome! complied and all is well, thanks again for your help. karl

Question: it now says: Access denied. You must have special permissions to access this area or you are not logged in.

Any idea where I can edit that? Now showing in language, or am I being thick? Cleared cache this time as well.

Look up. Previous message. All forum language keys are in modules\boonex\forum\integrations\base\langs in the en.php language file which must be edited by hand. And when edited you must recompile in proper template order stating with the default UNI template.
