does anyone know when Boonex will be releasing the auto installer for host server companies? I'm with arvixe and they said they are waiting on Boonex to release the auto installer before they can install dolphin7 & RMS??? is there a projected release date?  djkk1

im sure they are working on getting that auto-installer. but other than that, you should still able to install D7. the auto-installer is kind of a fiasco as it does not install on root of the server only on a subdirectory.

as for RMS not working, there is no logical reason why they cannot get RMS 7 to work.

Agreed, they could install it for you. They are just lazy. They want it all automated.

Anyhow, a hosting account is all you need. Empty root folder and empty database and it can be installed yourself and by anyone else. The auto installer is just to make the process easier.

very true deano, and the install process is a ton easier with 6.1.6^. basically you fill in some blanks and create database for it to hook to, then you are good to go.

the install of RMS 7 takes maybe 20 minutes. i dont know why they are standing on waiting on an admin to make the decision to install RMS 7.

Thx Guys, I'm getting a "file not found" error when i try video playback. from my understanding it's related to not having the RMS 7 installed...or is it some thing else?

Your RMS has nothing to do with Video playback. Videos are processed and viewed using your Cron Job and FFMPEG.

Need to make sure yur Cron Job is setup properly and /flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe is set to 777 permission,

Chris

Do we need a 2nd thread for this same exact thing?  Especially when you just copied all of this from the other string that is active?

Instead just continue your question in the thread that is going on this issue.
