In the forums area is there a way to make certain forums only viewable to certain membership levels / account classes ? ........If NOT is there a module that  allows only certain forum messages can be seen by certain account classes/membership levels...

     I come from the OLD BBS days of Wildcat and Major BBS/World Group and we used toi be able to make forums only viewable by keys/membership levels.......

Any explanation on how to do this is welcomed..

I don't think that is a current feature.  It would likely have to be a custom mod for your site for now.

 I have this exact same issue! How would I go about getting a custom mod done? I do not have the developer skills to handle that myself.

The default forum in Dolphin is very basic ... you may want to integrate a richer 3rd forum application in.  Look for mods in the Market that integrates 3rd party forums.

If you can't find anything in the current mod market you could post it as a job and let people bid on it:
