/inc/header.inc.php on line 67

Hello All!

I just signed up to a new host "from hostgator to arvixe" and they did the website transfer but there is one problem though lol when i go to my website this message "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/blockboy/public_html/inc/header.inc.php on line 67" comes up instead of my website.  Is this a problem with the database or permissions?

I don't know. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

By the way, BOONEX is great! Cool

Thanks

DjBlockBoy

As the error shows something is screwed up at line 67. Maybe while updating that file for new host someone done a mistake. Check that file but i wouldn't suggest to post it here.

so much to do....

inc/header.inc.php was damaged during the transfer or of they edited it to change the path which must be done when a site is moved then they damaged it when it was edited.

Do you have a backup of that file? Or ask the host to try transferring that file again.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I have a back up but it didn't work, unless I did wrong. Undecided

I had a very similar problem before but I forgot how I fixed the problem though lol I thinking it was a permission problem or database problem.  Maybe  i am wrong.

Why would this happen? or For what reason would this happen?

I just want to fix this problem.

Thanks again Fellas!

as me and deano stated previously the file is damaged due to editing. There is a syntax error. You need to correct the syntax.

Well fellas I found the problem! Surprised

THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CODE IN THE /HEADER.INC.PHP FILE

I was going through the file /header.inc.php and a few lines up from line 67 I noticed that the script didn't look right.

It was this:  'blockboy_BlockBoyRadio';

It was missing a ' in front of the the text so i added a ' in front of the text and pressed saved.  then I went to my website and it worked!

Thanks for the help fellas!
