[video error]dolphin 7 on arvixe

hi,

i  ve specialy took a hosting plan to arvixe (followed the recomandation of a marketing boonex staff) for run dolphin 7 cause she said, it needed a rms. fine.

installed went ok, but everytime you upload a vidéo ,when you play it you get "error file not found" and even with arvixe rms ip and ports, impossible to record a video or videochat "connection error"

so can somebody of boonex tell me what goes on, cause now i have a hosting with turn to be useless to me!

Are you sure Arvixe have installed RMS for D7?

Last time i spoke to them, they said they wont support D7 until it comes as a final release.

  Unprofessional?  I thought this was a newer member at first, until I looked and saw this individual has been around for 196 Days (Over 6 months) and still doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about.

 

Let's take a look here:

 

nocomp has 2 posts on the fora, that would be accounted for completely in this post, Zero Contributor Stars, Zero Member Points, Zero Expert Points, Zero Pundit Points, Zero Questions, Zero on everything except for these 2 posts bashing Boonex.  Nice start there nocomp

 

Moving on, you have fully displayed to us exactly how lazy you are.  You not only have contributed nothing to Dolphin, you then want to send out an e-mail asking for a host with RMS and do not want to do any of the homework.  Things like asking if they support what YOU need, is Dolphin 7 a software that you can use (your obviously not testing it because if you we're then we'd see some input on it so your just looking for a free upgrade) and then when it backfires because you were to LAZY to ask Arvixe (which is a good host, I've done work on sites they host and they've proven to give excellent support to their customers)  if they have the RMS you need.  Did you bother to read any of the support information for D7?  Did you happen to take the time to look up what the word "BETA" means when it's used in relations to software? 

 

In the end, you've just shown exactly why so many people are hesitant to help out others in the world.  It's because people like you are lazy and demand that someone else do everything for you.  They call this a sense of entitlement, let me fill you in on a secret:  You have no right to be entitled to anything on this subject!  And I don't care if you've bought a license, I have a bunch of them.

it s not because i don t spend my time bla bla on boonex forum that i don t do something for the community.

at the moment i am rewriting a french language 3500 lines to translate, it s a good start for participate, but sorry to not have notice you first, my apologize.

i am in relation with boonex cause i gonna do some work for them (next time i ll tell them to send you also a mail for let you know) and knowing the prob i have with d7, she told me to sign up at this host and everything would work fine.

IS IT MY FAULT IF IN FACT IT S NOT WORKING?

Nocomp, If you are referring to the "boonex girl" I think you are, I have never seen her tell someone to sign up with a specific web host. Everyone she has advised for web hosting, she has referred to the Ads section of Unity.

I just ran into this problem with another member using Arvixe. Did you not research the company to make sure they fit all your requirements before you signed up?

Anyways I am with Arvixe also and have been working on this issue for a few weeks now. I hope they find the solution. Boonex says that it is because I had a download that probably had some issues and if that is the case than I've had 30 or more of them all with the Dolphin 7

This is obviously just some kind of miscommunication between the 'Boonex Girl' and nocomp. Only they know exactly what was said, and if they did recommend Arvixe for D7, then that was unprofessional, after all D7 is still beta and they change the Hosting specifications on a Weekly basis without any warning.

@nocomp If you was advised as stated, then why should you not trust a member of Boonex? You should be able to trust them for advice, as you are only Human and not a Guru that knows everything like Mydatery does.

well what happend , we were chating over skype trying woth a tech to fix the bug i had with d7 on another hosting provider (everybody knew we were dealing with a d7 issue)

because we had no success fixing the bug, she told me to register to arvixe, and because i usually trust people, specially when it s about their job, and no mydatery i didn t read 200 pages of forum while we were chating for see if she was mistaking or bullshiting, and now here i am with a hosting plan totaly useless to me, i feel very upset and disapointed.

i guess i gonna install all that on my dedicated, install a rms + ulimit for make sure it doesn t takes all the cpu for encode or stream :'(

Well when I was having so much issues with Dolphin 7 and thinking it was my server which it could have been although the Dolphin 6 worked on it just like it does with Arvixe I checked out the hosting references here and Arvixe is the first one that Boonex has up there with a nice flashy banner LOL

Boonex blames the server?  Boonex said that I had gotten a download that probably had a bug in it.  If that was the case I have gotten about 30 in a row of them.  So not sure what the problem is but I sure wish it would get fixed.  I've tried everything.

Sorry guy's but am lost here , i don't know what exactly going on ! am with Arvix too and i have the same prob with RMS when trying to record a video in the comment (connection error ) so can anyone give me a brief conclusion about what's going exactly pls !

What maybe i did understand from your discussion is everyone who registred with arivix is screwed isnt right ?

Or... Please let me know , i wanna the truth you know why >? because i have only one month registration with Arvix so i can move somewhere else by the end of my contract LOL . Never and Never by longer package ....!

Now isn't that the truth!  LMAO and also I think that BOONEX should take them off of there site for advertising them as someone that is qualified to use the Boonex software if they are not qualified.  I will find a host in the next few days here cause I am tired of battling this subject when Boonex blames the server and the server seems to blame the software.  Either way I will either find another host or start working on a different whateva.

I've tried betas 6, 7, and 8 and all the same issue I have already put in my cancellation request...they assured me it would work when I signed up with them.

Hello,

I logged in and checked your RMS details only to find they are already configured, correctly.  I didn't receive any errors upon saving these credentials, which is the normal time any errors are displayed IF there are configuration problems.

If the applications are still not working, it could be an incompatibility with the RMS server we're running - as its designed for 6.1.6 and not 7.

Of course we can provide a refund in the case that we cannot get your site to work.

yes, all work good for me, sounds, videos and photos.

Please update to beta 8, beta 7 have problem with video conversion.

If you search in the forum you can see another topic where I've posted the solution to the problem, but it was fixed with beta 8.

Before install beta 8 please update all files to latest changeset, you can find the changeset here:

I have no problem with connect error while going to my chat room , the only error i got is in the comments but honnestly i will not be bother about it , maybe i will remove that option from the beta untel they will be the final release :)

Because if you think properly , you will end up by removing you beta sooner or later so why trying to work harder and make it complicated for your self , by the way there will be no migrating or update from 7 or 8 to the final release !!!

So just chill and wait for the Messiah :)

I've tried everything that was suggested on the forums for a lot of weeks now with the Beta 7 and it is either the server. or the software.  Hard to believe that if it is the software.  If that was the case than no one would be having videos playing.  So I transfered a few hours ago.  Pointed all of my sites to new host.  I was so mad I deleted all my files from Arvixe.  Here is a email I got 2 Days Ago!  I replied right away and haven't heard back from them since

What hosting company have you choose? I like to compare the speed of hosting company...dolphin are very "big" and arvixe haven't the speed I like...I think because it's in USA and I am in Italy...thank
