139,518 That's how many I found....

I had one cron setup wrong, then I allowed the emails to pile up in the default email address.

Since February....

How the hell do you remove 139,518 bad cron emails (over 400 megs worth). I can't even get the damned email client to load them all without crashing....

DOH!

You should check your cron job email every now and then for error reports... and faulty cron job notifications. I think it'd be best to just nuke the account and recreate it after fixing the faulty cron job.

most times people just use the defualt master email account on the cron tab so just nuking the account may not be an option.

but if you did set it to say support@yoursite then deleting that mail box off the server would be your best bet.

there should also be a .mail folder in your home directory as well in cpanel give a look in there and you maybe able to empty the folder from there....

It is the default account. I tried to open it with all the different webmail programs cpanel has but the entire thing hangs up after about 10 minutes of trying to load the emails.

I then created an account in my PC email and tried loading them there. I made it to about 25000 emails before it started smoking and locked up again, lol.

I have HFW working on it. Going to just have them go in locally and delete all the mails from the root account.
