2 Language Questions

Can someone answer the following language questions:

• If English language strings (installed by default) are updated, does a new language need to be created to ensure they're not overwritten during upgrade & language recompilation?
• If the above is true, how can the language selection drop-down (see attached image) be eliminated from the top navigation menu so only the newly created language is used (don't need the default English version to be selectable)?

Hi,

a) if you install a second/third/... language, it will translate the strings which are defined by the language file. If you have added strings to the english database, you will need to translate them to these languages manually

b) if you want to use it in one language only, just remove the english language from you available languages table
