Hello guys
Past few years DOlphin quality raised a big time and with upcoming D8 hopefully speed and overall quality improves more again. Unfortunately what stay at blind point us market and 3rd party modules. Becasue dolphin itself is simply too basic its impossible to run doolphin as PRO site as it is. There is certainly a must for everybody who is serious to use dolphin to buy bunch of 3rd party mods. But thats the problem.
1) Because of lack of moderation, supervision from boonex side proven bad developers still selling their mods like for example Derartmedia who is disputed basicly every month and still here. Althrought there has been pressure from supermoderators they have no right to ban such devs from market and as we all see they still selling their nonfunctiuonal poorly coded scum. THIS HAVE TO CHANGE - enough is enough and such developers as Derartmedia should be banned for life here
2) Most of developers give a sh** about etiquette and only few devs filling etiquette. THIS HAVE TO CHANGE. Make etiquette mandatory so developers have to fill etiquette otherwise product will be not posted
3) Absolute mess is about 3rd party integrations between each other. There arent any integrations and developers simply dont want to make any as they earn money on selling and making integration over and over again. Some modules released without integrations are basicly worthless like credits/points modules or spywalls. If you buy any mod which can use points you have to use only modules from same dev who made your point system . There have to be established same manner as i joomla community where aqll best selling 3rd party components are integrated with other best selling modules. To achieve this there should be proper section for developers, developers should exchange their source codes each other so they can integrate their products and also reveal their programming manner to make integrations easier. There are three ways how this can work:
a) devs will make free integrations of other good modules like it work in joomla community
b) developers make integrations and sell them for fixed price
c) there will be fundraising section where users can actually share money to pay and developer to make an integration
4) there shoul be sold product counter oj each product so we see how much is product sold, as this also indicates some quality of product
From what I read throuight forum for past 2 years seems like most trustworthy developers are Modzzz, AntonLV, Esase, Ibellodelweb and Martinboi. I dont know about others - how good they are, components quality, support quality etc... I suspect some of reviews are fake thus I cant rely on that...
As a bigges problem here now I see really 2rd party developers unwilling to release any integration with another developer component.Even if developer make integration as custom work its not developed in further versions as its not part of component. INtegrations MUST become part of modules and be continuously updated - its only way how we can use dolphin with 3rd party modules without errors, slowdowns and million of problems Hope this will change somehow.....
what u think ?
