7.0.1 release date

Hi,

As you can see rel. 7.0.1 will add new features and fix a lot of bugs.

We all need 7.0.1 to start a real site because 7.0.0 aren't reliable... have you planned a date to release it?

My rule of thumb is to wait at least a year before using any new product or overhaul.  I'mbuilding/having a new site built, but I'm using 6.1.6

I don't think 7.0.1 has as many bug fixes as people seam to think.

If you are in a hurry to get 7.0.1 you can use trac to get the change set for any bug that has been fixed.

I hope Boonex releases 7.1.0 before even thinking about doing more work on Poseidon (Dolphin 8).

7.0.1 include database changes and updating with trac can create problems!

I just checked the status and it hasen't moved a lot past few weeks..

with current bug fixing  progress  I estimate 7.0.1 come out around july and 7.1 around end of year 2010. Many people posted here in forums that they waiting for 7.1 - well If you look at trac u will see there is many new features = heaps new bugs - on one side there will be fixed errors which are in d7 now but it also bring heaps of new errors related to new features ... so dunno if its worth to wait ...

Because there is no listed change set, there is no prof this has been fixed.  If it has been fixed, the some one is being lazy, or hiding something by not including the link to the change set when closing the ticket.

In my book, if there is no 'Completed: At revision:' or a link to a change set, I call B.S. on an actual fix. Sadly, that is most of the tickets.

So you could go in and fix that issue right now if you want to.

Some of the developers will update their tickets with the revision information, which comes in handy for a quick fix. Unfortunately, not all of them take part in this practice.

Also, Dolphin 7.0.1 will be released "when it's done," along with all other releases. Unless you all haven't noticed, BoonEx doesn't have release schedules. Hell, they don't even release things when they are actually done, just whenever the hell they feel like it.

You know, I'm buying a Prime license but I've decided to do it 'whenever the hell I feel like it' The way things are going, that might take a year. Not going to do it till some of these major issues are resolved and if they take too long, I will take a different path with someone else's product.

I really hope you are wrong.. July is approx 4 months away, and it wouldn't make any sence to wait THAT long for 7.0.1 to come out..
