7.0.3 update

any one have news on when 7.0.3 will be ready? it seemed like Andrew said it would be coming soon and "SOON" has long past.

Soon is relative thing. It can be this week, next week, next month or next year  :)

From Andrew's Blog in July:

We have evaluated the most pressing issues that need to be addressed and now work on Dolphin 7.0.3 around the clock to deliver it in beginning of August.

BoonEx does not have a release date for anything. All estimated dates, etc., are just ways for them to screw with us. Their official stance is "when it's done" or "whenever the hell we feel like it."

Still 9 active tickets and then 11 more to make the release.

I'm guessing this new release is still at least a few weeks away.

However, I'm really crossing my fingers that it might be sooner than later.

  A PROJECT MANAGER would be a very good hire Mr. Boone.

I told everyone a couple months ago I was quitting. I decided to wait for 7.03 under the hope that many issues would be resolved and that they would at least make an attempt to keep their word about progress. I too am trying to believe their bullshit about fast turnarounds on each successive update.

I come here every day and check the road map first thing. I could build the code for this forum at the speed this update is moving and I would have to Google each step to the process before I could complete it! (in other words, I don't know shit about PHP).

Won't be long now. At some point, I won't see any reason to log in here anymore.........

I would not expect a release tell maybe at the end of this month, but bet you a dollar it wont be for another 30 days.

HEM, AS LONG AS MY EXPERIENCES, since i used dolhin 6.0.0 untl now dolphin 7.0.1 , every new one released, there always new bugs found.

previous bugs solved , new bugs come.

DelMarCash - When "Boonex" says "soon" they do not mean the same thing most people mean when they use that word.   "Soon" could be tomorrow, or it could be a year or more, as everyone who waited to upgrade until D7 came out found out.   I think it will probably be in the next week or two, but that is IF they don't make one of their dreaded "announcements" - that could be a set back of several months or more.  These announcements could be anything - that they have decided to put their efforts into a save to whales campaign or some new venture that has nothing to do with Dolphin.   These announcement are only very rarely to the advantage of the user community here.     I do think that D7 have a lower priority now - they have as much said so themselves - they will always prefer to keep working on "the next big thing".  Meanwhile, the world keeps changing.

I give a thumbs up on that Caltrade.

LOL. The progress bar actually shows a -2% today. Down to 86% from 88%.  It took them a week to go from 87% to 88%. You do the math.

Actually another ticket was added a few hours ago, so the percentage changed.

2 tickets left open today @ 97% - are we really this close to 7.0.3? I wont hold my breath, there are 11 tickets in the release trac but I really want to get a hold of the new forums!

Just remember the new release will only be a beta. Not recommended for a live site. ughhhhh...Here we go again...Let's hope we get one we can really use live by xmas time.
