I just did the upgrade from 7.0.8 to 7.0.9
Just noticed that when in the admin menu there is text in the user box for users unconfirmed:

It means that didn't follow all the instructions and didn't compile language files after update is applied. Please look throughout all the steps once more and make sure that you follow all of them. Rules → http://www.boonex.com/terms
I have just performed a fresh installation (my first ever with Dolphin) and have a similar issue, all buttons/labels have btn_txt_...... before them - can you guide me on how to correct this? Once again, this is a fresh install.
As AlexT said, most likely the compile-languages step was skipped. Whenever you see text _in_this_format, it's a language issue: either the languages need to be compiled or you have a missing language key. The first thing to do is to, as he suggests, double check the install/upgrade instructions and make sure you've followed every step including compiling the module languages and the system languages (2 different steps). If you missed the compile language step(s) then you may have missed something else in the install process that could cause more issues.

I reviewed the 'install.txt' file included in the downloaded ZIP archive and followed the steps, none of which involve compiling the language packs. This also wasn't a step during install. Could you point me to some steps detailing this process please? Why should this be required for a fresh installation?

You suggest a potential missing language key, in the admin panel I notice that there are no entries within the 'Manage Keys' section, what should be here? This is a fresh install, so why is this data missing!?
I've tried compiling the single English language that's available, didn't work - I also tried manually flushing the cache folders, this also hasn't worked. This is my first test of Dolphin, not too impressed so far with trying to get a solution to this very basic issue.
In admin go to settings-->languages settings where it says "Manage Keys" put this in the "Filter" field box _adm_txt_dashboard_users_unconfirmed then tick the apply box, see if anything comes up
The last step of the upgrade script gives these instructions (you'll see the recompile steps): IMPORTANT!!!

ggsinc, he or she is talking about a FRESH install, not an upgrade.
Edit: Unless you're talking about the author. In which case, ignore me. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin
Yep, this related to a fresh install. However, last night I flushed the database and reuploaded all source files again - I then ran the installer without any difference in process to the first time. After installation the language translation/interpretation appears absolutely fine - I can only put it down to an installer error as I did everything in absolutely the same way. |
