Can someone please tell me how to update from Version 7.3.0 to 7.3.3?

Under Documentation you will find the information for upgrading: Download the upgrades and follow the instructions to the letter. Make a backup of your database and site files (all of them) before installing any upgrade. Very important to make the backups first; don't skip the step of backing up. If you don't think you can do this, then PM me (I do charge a fee).

After uploading, and going to domain.com/upgrade/ it says page not found. But, the folder and all contents are there. Could it be a problem with permissions? |
ok I got that part fixed but, it's still saying it's version 7.3.0. I can't edit the version file because of permissions and it's not uploading either. What are the permissions supposed to be? |
The upgrade reads the version number from the database, not the file (or it use to do so). One problem that I told Boonex about; and they refused to make the change; was that the upgrade changes the version number before the upgrade actually finishes. So a partial upgrade can set the version number wrong in the database. Check the version number in the file against the version number in the database; although I am unsure when they change the version in the version file now they have gone that route, if they do it before the upgrade finishes, then you are in that same version hell as before. It use to be that you could check the version in header.inc since that had to be manually changed after each upgrade. Geeks, making the world a better place |

Sounds like /inc doesn't have writable permissions set. Make sure it's set to 755, and then make sure all patch files for /inc were successfully uploaded. You can switch it back to 555 permissions after the upgrades are done. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
