I have quite a few custom fields in my current 6.1.x live site that I of course need to transport over to my new D7 upgrade.
I have been trying to migrate the information over then adjust the site to cater for the extra profile fields but if I then make a mistkae or something doesn't go quite right, then I have pretty much lost all the adjustments I had made and will have to then re-do them all again.
But then I got to thinking.....yes, dangerous I know! lol
It would probably still migrate over just as well if I take a clean install of D7 and first make all the adjustments that I need, then save it as a kind of template that I can easily re-use should something go wrong again.
Do you think that would work if I did it in that order?
