About the background

I was changing the background of my site in the tmpl_uni/images. I changed it into dark blue but when I opened an account and view the my settings area, the text area for the profile information was also dark blue and because of this I can't see the text. Is there anyway to change the background without affecting the my settings text area? Please help guys!
