Adding a City Field to browse.php page...

I plan on making my site U.S. based only, and would wonder what it would take to add a city field to the browse profile section ...I want to do this mainly for local SEO purposes,

I don't have the money to pay someone this month so I was going to try on my own .. I'm guessing I would have to edit the BxBaseBrowse.php, BxDolBrowse, browse.css, and browse.php files ... ????

If someone could point me in the right direction ..... Thanks !!

I do not know how to change that but if it helps this works on d7.09

there is already a city option if you select the adv link on the search people options you could remove the links for the simple or quick search links or make it so the advanced option is the one that shows as default .

 for bring extended layout in the search page is by changing the link. search.php

Go to Admin -> Builders -> Navigation Menu

Under People -> search.php

edit the menu block

Change the URL from search.php?search_mode=adv
And you do not appear to have city or country on join form ?

Happy thoughts

I get what your saying but I want the ability to do it through browse files for Seo purposes...

For instance if you are searching by country you get a url of http://yourdomaincom/browse/all/all/us - and if you alter your title tags it can look something like this.... Browse Singles for Free / US

While if I were a user trying to browse by city, or state even the url should look something like this

http://yourdomain/browse/female/22-24/Fort-Myers/Florida ...in which then I can change the Title Tags to Browse Singles Free / Fort Myers, FL, thus automatically creating thousands of SEO friendly pages for Google and other search engines to chew on.

Just seems a lot easier to tweak the SEO in browse php than search php know what i'm saying?

I have the city field on page 2 of my join form ;)
