Adding a video

I'm trying to add a video to my homepage from Youtude.  I've copied the embedded code but it still does work.  The code shows up in the box and the video doesn't play. For example -

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xe1LrMqURuw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It doesn't play on my page.  What is the correct way to add the code?

Thx

did you click on the html button in the page editor or did you just paste the code into the editor....

you need to click the html button then add the iframe.

code given seemed to work for me batman v superman or something like that.

I clicked on the  link that say "Toggle HTML Editor",  It reformatted the code to what you see below.  I saved it, reloaded the page and got the second screenshots in the attachment.

Do  you realised you attached a MicroCrap docx file?  Not only is it a stupid file format and not really xml; it contains the regular document file plus an xml file in a container and the only thing it does is to make the file larger and prevents anyone; and that is the real purpose of docx, forces one to upgrade to a newer version of MicroCrap Office because the idiots don't know better.

Attach a gif, png, or jpg file that can quickly be opened in the browser.

I'm a beginner with dolphin.  I'm trying to just add a basic youtube video on my homepage as a test.  I used the code below in an html box and it just reflects the code vs. the actual video.  I copied the embed code into the HTML box, selected HTML, selected save.  What am I doing wrong?

<p>&lt;iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lG9Q2_Hv83k?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;</p>

As the Professor stated, you have to be in pure HTML mode, which means you don't want the TinyMCE editor to be displayed.  The reason is that the TinyMCE editor will strip out the iframe code when you save the document.  It will also make editing it difficult because it will do the same when it loads the code.  I think a HTML block without the editor would be a nice addition to the builders.

If you look under the editing window you will see text to toggle the TinyMCE editor on and off.  Before placing your code into the edit window, toggle off the TinyMCE editor, save your code and you should see your video appear on the home page and it should play.
