Admin Email Question

In the Admin>Settings>Basic Settings what does it mean when it asks for Site Email and Site Email Notify?

What do those 2 mean exactly please?

 your sites email ,,, when someone uses the contact form on your site that's where the mail is sent to your sites email  i have           admin@ my site .com

Site Email Notify
when a user joins your site they will get an email saying blah blah blah you have signup at blah blah that mail is sent from the site email notify  i have  noreply@ my site.com

just try it put two diff.. emails and you get the picture lol...
