Admin unable to change member's Membership level

On the dashboard, when I click on a member's name to update his membership level; it does not work.  I go to his/her "Edit Profile",  click the "set membership" button and select the custom membership (that I made), check the "start immediately" box then click the "save" button.

The membership does not save.  It just goes back to the Standard membership.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Allen

Mine works great in IE. I had some issues with Chrome not being able to save in several different screens. You might also have a permissions error in your setup (folders)

Yeah, I heard some people had issues because of the browser they were using.  I tried them all and nothing is working.  What should the settings be (or what should I be looking for) for the permissions in set up folder(s).

I just figured out the problem.

Some browsers keep the member's password in the "change password" field (which requires the admin to confirm it).

SOLUTION:  Check to see if password asterisks (*****) are in the "change password" field.  If so, delete the asterisks so you don't have to confirm.  Don't worry, it will not delete the member's password.  It just will not change it.

Also,

Some browser change the member's birthday to 000-00-00

SOLUTION: Replace the zeros with a valid birthdate.

Now you can change the members level, hit save and it stays changed!
