 Hi, I am having trouble changing the png images on the ads category page. When i replace them, it wont show them and it only shows the dolphin ones. If i create a new png, it wont display. I have tried renaming, changing image size to the same as the existing ones but nothing seems to work. Any one find out how to sort this?

Here's the bit about the submenu header icons in general from image tutorial, it might help. I had no problem changing out the ads icon using this (just remember that if you don't overwrite the existing file and you want to use a different .png image, you still have to have it in either the /modules/boonex/ads/templates/base/images/icons/ or the /modules/boonex/ads/templates/<yourtemplate>/images/icons/ folder in order to set it correctly in the Navigation Menu box): These are the images in the submenu header on each internal page of the site. They are 32x32 by default, but this is one of the places where the formatting will adjust to the size of your image. As near as I can tell from playing with it, you can go as large as 64x64 with the submenu icons before the formatting of your page body is distorted and pushed down lower. I make no guarantees about that, though, ymmv! To replace this image, go to Admin panel>Builders>Navigation Menu and click on the name of the top level menu name of the page that you are wanting. Change it in the box labeled "Picture:". Save all changes. If you overwrite existing images through uploads, remember to follow the same path but into your template folder instead of base. For example /templates/base/images/icons/ becomes /templates/your_template/images/icons/.

Hi, Im goin to /modules/boonex/ads/templates/base/images/icons this is where they all are, i upload my versions and it wont allow the origional ones to be replaced with mine. it only allows me to change them with each other. I am talking about the ads category images. So when you go to manage adds and then category manager, it opens up and lets you specify the name of the image you want to replace. I uploaded my image to that file and it was the smae size as the origional image but it wont show it. when i use any of the other images which are for the other categories, they show. Thanks |
Hmmm sounds like you're doing it right, that's how we did the category images. Did you try clearing the cache & cache_public on the server (leaving the .htaccess intact) after making changes? |
Yes I have cleaned the cache and logged in and out and changed browsers and tried everything. Why cant we just browse the images from our computers and upload them there and then. This system of images is seriously hard work!!!
