Ads displayed in Boxes on website.

I have an adsense code in the html box but the ads do not display on the actual website.

I tried closing the html box and pasting the code directly but the box does allow you to do anything as it's all unclickable, I tried directly into the html source code popup and then turning off the html and the codes are display in the pain text box but do not work on the website. I think I have tried every imaginable and nothing works.

What can I do please so that the ads are displayed correctly?

To insert javascript code into an HTML block you first turned off the HTML editor and then paste in the code and hit save.  If you open that block again and the HTML editor loads, it may trash the javascript or add tags around it.

Keep in mind that there can only be three adsense blocks on a page, any more than three and they won't display.  Also note that Google is asinine about adsense; the page that adsense is on has to have only original content; no YouTbe videos or any other content scraped from the web.

Is there a block which uses only plain text as the current html block clearly doesn't work when you turn off html.

When you turn off the HTML editor, it is a plain text box.  Something else must be happening to cause your issues.  I have used the HTML editor to add javascript code many times without issues.  You could use a php block but you need to know basic php scripting to have the javascript added to the page.

Thank You. The problem has been solved and it all works perfectly displaying the ads as it should be.
