Ads message subject

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a way that when a member sends a message to another regarding a certain add, if the message title could have a description to what that add is. Some may have many adds and the message will not inform the owner which products the memeber is interested in if the member does not specify this, usually people dont, they just send a messagwe saying...I like this blah blah,  and the owner doenst have a clue what they are on about.

Thanks

When one user contact another user, he/she can enter any subject and message.

There is no context when use is writing a message (the only context I can imagine - it is the recipient's profile or reply to another message).

If I understand right - what you need is custom modification where author of the ad can be contacted directly from the ad view page. You can post it in jobs section.

 Hi Alex,

Yes your right, I kind of get it now because its set uo to send a message to users either way, so if ads is disabled they will still be able to send messages to each other.

So i guess, like you say, i need to mod it and make the ad reference stick to the message so that they know what add they are talking about.

Do you do this?

Can you quote me if you do please?

I will post the job.

Thanks

M

I have just received a database error via email. This is it:

Database error in ..............

Query:

SELECT `ID` AS `owner_id`, `allow_view_friends_to` AS `group_id` FROM `Profiles` WHERE `ID`='6' LIMIT 1

Mysql error: Unknown column 'allow_view_friends_to' in 'field list'

Found error in the file '/home/mysite/public_html/inc/classes/BxDolPrivacyQuery.php' at line 61.
Called 'fromMemory' function with erroneous argument #2.

[cut]

I would really appreciate it if you can help. I think this is the member id which i was testing with.

Thanks

It looks like error is because of some custom module or modification. So it is better to ask mod author.

Also if it is another topic - please start new thread.

Thanks.

Back to the subject....Anyone?

Doesn't any one use the Ads mod? This is an important mod if someone is going to take Ads seriously. .

I'm sure eventually other people will realise that they need this mod too.

I'm waiting for quotes people???
