Age Not Showing in Profile

On a couples profile the age of the second person in the profile is not showing, I have a birthday block in the join form for the second person, but age only shows on the first person in the profile, not the second.  Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Yes, PLEASE create a fix for this bug, and post a link to the changeset fix. It may seem like a small matter that 2 fields don't show up for a user, but one of these fields (age) missing seems like a MAJOR bug, because it would be embarrassing to let users see the age of one user, but not show the other. Please post a link to the changeset/revision here in the forums so we can make the change, as it can't even wait 'til 7.0.1.

The 2 fields that show in the first user, but not the second...in my site...are:

- Age  (as has been mentioned above)

- City  (I know, you're saying "why would a couple live in two cities?"...so let me explain below)

Technically there is a 3rd field not also shown in the second couple's section, and that is Country. I assumed that was because the coders figured that both people in a couple would be in the same country, and that makes sense. But if that's the case, then ALL of the location-based fields should also be only in the first person's info. But 'State' and 'Zip' are seen in both, so it's just inconsistent. That's why I think we should pick one way or the other, either (a) All 'Country/State/City/Zip' fields ONLY in the first  person's info...OR...(b) All, or all but Country perhaps, in both user's info.

Thanks,

- Mishka

By the way...for those waiting on this answer...

I was told by Anton (AntonLV) that he had handed this issue off to another programmer at Boonex (maybe a week or so ago?) who would create a ticket and work on a solution. When I know anything I'll post the answer here (if that person doesn't themself). Just wanted to respond to n1co2's comment wondering if it was being dealt with.

Hang in there folks (at least that's what I tell myself)!

P.S. - This issue is multi-faceted. Just adding age to the second person seems straightforward, but giving each person their own zip code might affect zip code searching (either db-based or 3rd part-based like kolimarfey) so not only does it need to be 'added' but also 'integrated'. Hopefully it's simpler than I'm imagining, 'cause I'd like to get a solution quickly, considering it would just be weird to take this site live and have one person's details hidden.

I haven't been watching the TRAC...anyone know if this issue has been fixed?

If not I'm hoping it happens very soon.

It's just presents a bad image to the users (and takes away from the functionality for couples). All that work that was done in D7 to make Couples profiles so much better...it would be great to be able to take advantage of that.

I asked if there was a fix yet, but i guess no luck, I had to change the whole join in page for my site and add in new catagories, and layouts for my profile page, I think i got mine about like i need it, but it was a challenge, oh and of course i crashed my site and had to restore it, and redo it all!

Hopefully the next site there will be a fix

Back to pulling my hair out! (ouch, ouch, ouch)
