Am using Safari on the latest MAC OS

the bottom bar seems to float above what ever I need to click etc

No problem when I am in firefox...  would change but it is to complex to move all my links and bookmarks over

another irritating sample

Not sure if it's the problem, but you have your google analytics tracking code added after the closing body and html tags.

Try moving the code up before them wherever you have added the analytics code footer/sub_footer/etc.

currently you have:
</body>
</html>
-Google Analytics code here

Try:
-Google Analytics code here
</body>
</html>

Clear cache after doing so.

Otherwise make sure you are not missing a closing span or div tag possibly.
