Another brilliant mod idea for D7

Heh, it would breed some abuse, but for those of you building dating or similar sites full of fake profiles, this would be a good one.

If someone created a mod that randomly showed members as online, it would make the site look busy and more used.  The admin should be able to set a % of members or a specific number of people to show as online.

I know on most of the sites I have seen, usually only the "admin" account is signed in, maybe one or two members.  But if you could make it look like several, or several hundred were online at once, well, you get the idea.

Thank me later :)

You know, we could tell you if someone already created that and if so, who.  But then that'd violate the strike terms and well, that just wouldn't be fair

Oh I'm sure it's been done, I was just trying to strike up some conversation around here for once...  Generate some ideas, bring old ideas back into play, and just generally try to contribute.

If everyone is on strike, guess I will stop wasting my time (again...lol)

Were hopin' for negotiations to end the strike soon.  But so far it hasn't happened.  Keep in mind, it is only 24 hours old so far.  Perhaps the Agents would like to start answerin' the questions.

Crossing the picket line...   That application for fake traffic exists in the Markets area, along with applications for fake members, etc.  In my opinion they are dishonest.  Why would you want to trick your members?

It's hard to tell humor over the internet.....is there really some sort of strike going on? Does it have to do with expertzzz closing and the migration here?

I suppose I'd be crossing the line if I said that those who did this for anything other than testing purposes should be shot, so I won't say it (wait...). They should be taken out back and hit in the head with the remains of my Windows ME workstation.

Also, while Mydatery and the others are considered to be "on strike," I am not, as WUGA (Workers United through General Abuse) continues its tradition of being populated primarily by masochists.

No, The CUGA (Coders Union of General Abuse) Local is on strike.  It's a real strike you can gain insight into in the blogs.
