Any inside info on 7.1?

Does anyone know when D7.1 is planned for release?  The mods are coming out at a fast and furious pace now -  and that is good.   I just did prolaznik's mod for random display of profile pictures, and houstonlively's mod for removing the promo banner internally - both were great improvements to my site.

I don't want to go crazy with mods though if there is going to be a release anytime soon.  I am mostly concerned about the well-known issue of the multiple select from predefined values table screwing up both the join form and the search functions.  My site needs this, and in my opinion D7 should not have been release without that being fixed.

Does anyone know - or have an educated guess?

Have you seen the pile of tickets on 7.0.1?  At the rate they're being cleared, we'll be lucky to have 7.1 for Christmas.

Ok, not what I wanted to hear, but probably true.  Good job on that promo link mod - it never quite "felt" like being logged in on my site with that promo block there but I couldn't figure out why- and for some reason it never occurred to me to get rid of it.   I also just installed prolazniks mod for a random display of profile avatars, and it makes my site seem much more active and developed than it actually is - without resorting to fake profiles.  Check it out at www.caltrade.com/community.    Deno's phpblock mod will also make great applications possible, and okweb is always coming up with cool stuff.  Keep up the good work everybody!

What do you think we'll have first, D8 alpha or D7.1?

One of the members here, claims to have a D7 installation, and a D8 installation.  I forget who it was.  I remember, almost a year ago, there was a "Dolphin 8" download package on Expertzzz listed for $300.  Maybe that's where they got their D8.

I guess I mean D7.01 - not D7.1 - I am mostly concerned about getting that multiple selections/predefined values issue fixed.

I could care less about D8 alpha - I spent a year of my life jacking around with D7 alphas and betas and need to get something working in the real world.
