Avatar

I am really sick to see many members forget to install avatar picture, what is the best solution to make the profile picture turns to avatar or is it possible as an admin to upload for them an avatar. i found on the admin settings/ membership/ avatar edit any or avatar upload does this help to install for them the missing avatar.

Do a search here. There is copious amounts of posts on this subject. I think someone has a fix to force people to upload an avatar to join.

You will need to do two things.  First, apply the changeset mauricacano supplied the link for near the end of this long post:

This requires someone who joins to upload an avatar in the process.  I think it's the best solution.  They can always change their avatar if they choose later, but at least they have to have one to begin with.

Next, to make sure the avatar someone uploads doesn't automatically get added to the profile photos, make the change detailed by romeonyc77:

I have done both and they work great.

It would be nice if there was an easy way for admin to log into a member account to fix this, but unfortunately I don't think there is so this is a fairly big problem - people mess up or forget their avatar's all the time.  Someone told me Deano's tools can do this but I still haven't installed them.

Yes, with Deano´s tool admin can login as a member, them you can assing an avatar, but... is hard work. I recommend you see post about mandatory photo on join.
