Avatar Folders

2 questions here please.

1 - Is it possible to display the avatars in folder selection to the end user/member? Reason! if you have over a 1000 plus images to input it makes for quite a long tedious search for the user all in one folder.

2 - How do I and with file do I need to make the "site Avatar" box display more rows ( I have placed this is a full width Colom) and would like to it to display more at a time downwards. At the moment it only displays 1 row.

Having both options would be great if anyone could make this a custom job for me I would appreciate it.

I'm thinking something in the order of (on the avatar page)

Box 1 = My Avatars

Box 2 = Avatar Folders

Box 3 = Displayed Avatars from folders once folder is chosen.

box 4 = Site Avatars

I wrote several tickets on this very issue about 5 years ago.  If Boonex hasn't acted on it by now, they never will.  It's more likely that the Avatar module will be phased out... at least we can hope that's what happens.  Because of it's inter-module dependencies, and the fact that it is woven into the Dolphin core code like a parasite infection, it is one of the most useless Dolphin modules ever devised.

You'll probably have to hire someone to do the customizations for you, because the work is probably beyond the scope of simple 'fix' that can be conveyed in the forums.  I don't know the official Boonex position, but I don't see why the avatar module would survive a few more major revisions of Dolphin Pro.

Avatars are quite poplar on a lot of social sites.  The module does not need to disappear, it just needs improvement.  Unlike FaceSucks and Evil Google that tries to force members into revealing everything about them so they can easily be explored, many sites like to protect the privacy of their members.  Avatars make it possible to have a non-realistic image of the member for recognition on comments and posts.  I agree that it is too much into the code and no ties to the photo module should be there.

Users on all sites like avatars and they very popular everywhere you go, getting rid of such a thing would be a great mistake on the Boonex teams part, accept it for what it is which is avatars are liked by everyone which even a second thought.

 Even if I can't get a folder type option set up where and to make the full width box display more rows of avatars as at least this should be possible (say 5 rows down) should help solve at least having to scroll through 100s of single rows.
