Avatar Pic or Profile Pic

I was just wondering to myself why many of my members have photo albums but no profile pictures on their profiles.

I think many members add photos trying to add profile pics.

What most members don't realize, I guess, is that if you want to add profile pics on your profile, you have to go to your avatar page and add avatar pics...which will become your profile pics.

So all I did is make it say this: Profile (Avatar) Pictures you can see it here:  http://www.ustillup.com/jasonvan

I'm assuming that this only changes the language and won't have any negative affects anywhere else.....

What would be nice is to add a link inside with the profile pictures that says: add/change profile pictures and link it to the avatar page.

I don't know... anybody got any better suggestions.  I'm just trying to make this software easier to use for my members ;-)

Wrong.  Avatar pics, are just that... avatar picks.  For some reason, Boonex thought it would be a good idea to copy avatar pics to the profile photos album by default.  I disabled that feature, because I think it is senseless.

The proper way to add profile photos, is to add them to the profile photos album.

Ahhhh, okay....my mistake.   I guess then that many members end up creating a new album instead of clicking on the existing one to add pics.

I guess this could be more clear.  I think I will add some text saying to click on an album below to add pictures.

Nevertheless, I still think there should be a link with your profile photos (on profile page) where it says: "add/change profile photos".

Yes, it should be made more clear.  There's a link when there is no profile photos, but it disappears once you add a photo.... makes perfect Boonex sense.  Anyway, the profile photo's album is always called 'MemberName's Photos'  It should be easy to add a link to the profile album page.

It could be the other way around though right?  They could be trying to add avatars but then the process misfires somewhere (which does happen) and it ends up in the profile photos.  Your site is too big for this probably, but I was thinking of using Deno's tools to go in and add the avatar when it didn't work for them.  If they have profile photos, I don't think they would mind having avatars.  Hope I understood your issue correctly.
