Avatar not cropping

Been plugging away trying to get Dolphin 7 tweaked, and almost there.

However, one problem I keep having is the Avatar cropping tool.  No matter the image I upload, when you select an area to crop and click on ADD AVATAR, it adds the entire image - uncropped.

How can I get this to work? It uploads so I didn't think it was a permissions issue, but I am stumped.

Please... anyone?! I am trying to bump this because I cant believe no one else has had this problem or cant offer an opinion on whats wrong.

Do by chance know if you have ImageMagick installed and functioning on your server (along with GD)?

It's not like I'm actually going off anything here, but I like to read my own text.

Yes, both are installed and working, as the security images show up. Is Avatar dependent on GD?
