BOARDS?? not working? usuaing what ports?

everything in dolphin 6.1.6 works.. with the exception of BOARDS

it just locks up on connecting,..

I checked the rms data its as good as all the other working widgets

must be using a port that is being blocked by the firewall...

if not that? what else could it be?

I have found this to be true myself.

The boards actually worked until today. The difference being that I purchased a month of RMS hosting last night and with the RMS enabled, the Boards cease to function.

Everything else *appears* to work, but not the boards.

(I say it appears to work because I don't have the ability to properly test all functions at this time)

I hope this is on the agenda of fixes for 6.17. If not, I hope someone with the ability to get attention drawn to this issue will let the powers that be know there is a real problem here. This is a valid bug & I would be happy to show anyone since all that needs to be done is shutting off RMS.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but i believe that 6.1.5 and 6.1.6 require the latest RMS server. So you may want to check with your RMS host to see if they have updated that yet.

I had forgotten about that. I will have to ask them about it.

I just heard back from my RMS host

They said that they are still on the previous RMS version and do not intend to update until version 7 is released. That kinda sucks since it automatically commits me to having to wait, and to upgrading when the time comes if there are other changes in the Ray Media Server package.

So is it the reason why the Boards won't work? Who knows.

EDIT: I just noticed that this was originally posted in the wrong forum area. I did a search and just added on to a previous topic. I didn't check to verify that the forum area was chosen correctly so this wound up in Dolphin instead of Ray. Sorry about that.

 I'm having a similar problem; but in my case, only one member can be in the board at any one time?  Moreover, even when I login as another test member, from another laptop, I can only see my name under users and not the other test user.  However, the board name does update on both laptops?
