Background images for Headers, Footers, etc.

I've been looking through most forums on this subject and I just want to add a header image and possibly change the background colors for various things. When I read some forums on this subject, everyone is telling everyone else to go to the templates link. I don't have a templates link. I have a css styles link but not templates link. And if there is, what category is it under cause I don't see it anywhere. Do I have a corrupt version or something?

I think you may be misreading the things your looking at.

templates folder or directory is most likely what was said. Templates are not modified from the dolphin admin panel. It's done by hand in the template folders and files of dolphin.

Look on your server where dolphin is installed.

Go to the templates FOLDER.

That is where everything is located.

But you will not want to change anything in the default base template that comes with dolphin. You will not be able to upgrade dolphin if you do that. So its's best you learn how to create a template. http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolDesign
