Backing up dolphin site

What is your back up system that you are using? I'd like to make mine automated as possible however emails me when daily backups stop working. I have FTP server at home. I'm thinking of mysql database backups emailed as an attachment twice a day.

Although, I have not decided with the files part yet, Comcast capped my download usage to 250 gb per month.

Have you thought about one of those online servioes? I use IBackup (ibackup.com) and have for a couple years now on my old forum and it has worked very well for me. You can set it up to take copies of your database, system files etc. ....

After searching, I found a great automated mysql database backup script that can either email me compressed file as an attachment and/or remote FTP it. I set cron job to send me a back up of the dolphin mysql database every 30 minutes. I'm happy with it. In case you want the same, it's at http://www.dwalker.co.uk/phpmysqlautobackup/

Now, I would like the same for the files, especially new images and videos that were uploaded by members. I think that the images and videos back up via remote FTP would suffice. Unless there are additional files that are created or changes.
