Big problem in JOIN FORM

Hello,

A big problem.

When a new member joins on the page of the registration form, he has to choose a photo,

this photo does not appear on the page immediatly.

The member thinks that our system does not work and leaves the site!

Same problem on Boonex demo...

Thanks

Just remove it from your join fields in your admin page..

Requiring a photo is a good first step to halting spammers in their tracks.

Agreed that this is a problem. Internet users are used to getting some kind of a response when a button, graphic, or link is clicked - especially if doing so is a requirement of the site. Most people do assume that something is wrong or broken if there isn't an immediate response.

The join script uploads the profile photo when you click 'join now' on the last page. if its on a previous page the data is dropped and you get the 'missing required field' error.

Anyhow.... You just need to move the "ProfilePhoto" field to the last page of your join form.

The problem is a lack of feedback. It 'appears' that it doesn't work. The image is not dislayed immediately, so it looks like it failed.

Moving the item to the second page doesn't solve the impression it is giving to the new community member.

I agree this is a large issue. 3 out of 4 of my 1st time testers commented on this exact issue.

I agree that this is a problem for 99% of new users. I never knew until I tried it just today. For now, I'll be removing that field. Hope boonex dev team will consider. I'm still for the profile picture upon joining. God bless, everyone.

Hello Sir Art. Hope all is well. I suggest that you remove line in your join form for the moment. I works fine with my clients when I temporary removed it. Hope this helps.

Perhaps a note to say 'Photo is uploaded', at least!

We continue to lose a lot of members.

Most people do assume that something is wrong or broken if there isn't an immediate response.

It is absurd and illogical. If Mr Facebook saw us, we would be ridiculous. (Humor)

An ADDON exist ?  have you an idea ?  It's very urgent  !

It becomes hopeless.

Work during 8 years to obtain a site or the registration form does not fix the photo...

It is poignant.

Boonex declines and it is really getting tired and and worrying.

I should make a complete list of found aberrations.

And do not speak of certain traders who flood the store with invalid  and corrupt scripts.

Fortunately some are serious and professional

8 years to correct obvious scripts. It's not funny ...

I did two things to the field in fields builder...

 1. I set the caption to:

Profile Picture (Not seeing upload progress is normal)

 2. I set the description to:

Not seeing your photo after you upload is normal.  We promise it is in our system. Just click the big Join button below after filling out all information.

Not perfect but a little more useful information to the user anyway ....  Honestly though I never thought twice about it...  I just know to click the join button and see what happens next.  This goes for all sites not just dolphin.

Edit:  I guess it should read: Profile Picture (Not seeing photo selection is normal)  you get the idea...
