How do I solve the blank pages in certain menu items?

Also, if I have to reinstall, are there any files I can backup and use on the new install i.e., articles, news, all content actually that's gone into the site. CSS changes etc?

Not clear what you mean by blank pages?

What version? What pages? etc, etc  ..... 

Check out the upgrade instructions for help to keep files etc.

In v6.1.6, when I click "groups" and after submitting a post in 'guestbook' the page loads to a blank page. In 'groups' clicking 'search' follows through with the results.

I am not upgrading but reinstalling 6.1.6. I would rather not have to start over from zero again with this 4th attempt of getting things to work properly. This was the reason for my questions, although vague.
