 Hi, When you block a friend and then unblock that friend, that friend is NO longer a friend! A member may temporarily block someone, but have a change of heart, so why does the sys_friend_list table information get deleted? What is the piont of the unblock feature if it removes the friend status? Thanks |
It's the same way on Twitter. This is actually a good thing. It also provides plausible deny-ability since both parties were unfriended at the time of the block. At least I think it's a good thing. |
Thanks theguypc! I have a little unusual issue. The "friends" field for my site will not be used in the traditional way. My paying members will have guest (classified as friends), but may decide to block them for a period of time, but if the paying member decides to unblock them again, the guest needs to be classified as a friend. I am not using the friend/unfriend button, so there is no way for an unblocked guest to become a friend again! |
