Blogging in Dolphin

I am new to the Dolphin platform and so far it has been a joy to work with! I have seen nothing but great activity on these forums and I look forward to participating in this community more!

For now, I will probably have a few questions about the platform and I hope you all will help out where you can... So the first of these is this:

How do I implement an easy to administer blog component for my client? Do I need a mod like Ultimate Blogs or something?  Is there no native solution in the core of Dolphin itself?

What do I need to do to make this work? I know its out there because I have seen it done on other Dolphin sites. Just don't know how those developers got there. Thanks in advance for your help!

Dan,

Welcome aboard! Yes Dolphin comes with a native blog as one of the "modules". When you first install Dolphin you can go to admin and click "Tools" and then "Modules" to see a list of items available to install. Then it's just a few clicks to get the blogs or any of the others installed.

The mods you see like Ultimate blogs are for people who want more functionality or a better appearance than the default one provides.

Hi Dan, welcome to Unity :-)

If you're looking at using blogs on Dolphin, make sure you block China and Alland Islands from registering on your site as that the main module they will spam.

That or set things up so that only upgraded members can post in blogs etc...

This will prevent spamming also.

Otherwise install as already said and enjoy :-)
