Boonex ads

Is anyone working on the issue with our free license not removing the ads? I asked mike (my agent), and was told that he could not solve this and needed someone higher up to look into this. Now I know you all are very busy and is understandable, but I am almost ready to open my site up, but need to remove ads please!

The free license does not remove ads.

Are you referring the unlimited licenses boonex was giving out for free a while back? I have one of those and it works fine on my site.

Yes that is what I am talking about. I am not the only one with this issue and even a boonex agent could not solve it. It worked great in D6 but not D7.

Yea. It does seem to be a common problem. Glad mine is working. I am also seeing a lot of reports from people that have purchased new licenses that they can't get working either.

Count me as one of the fortunate enough to never encounter this issue.

I had the same issue when I first applied my license to my D7 site.  Then I discovered that it all had to do with the way I was logging into the site.  With the new D7 platform you can login to the admin panel by simply going to your home page and logging in as admin and then accessing the admin panel with the admin icon in the menu at the bottom of the browser.  This is how I was accessing the admin panel when I applied the license I simply went to the settings area and pasted it in the appropriate spot and saved it.  Well it didn't register and would not activate.

How I got it working:

I erased the license from the admin area, saved and logged out.  Then I logged in using the admin login page located at www.yoursite.com/administration - right when I logged in it asked for my license added it, and my site activated right away.

So for those that are logging in from your sites home page or any other page and applying  the license to your site in the admin area this way, well it doesnt' work.  For the sake of getting your license to work you have to first apply it by logging in using the admin login page.

Not sure if that helps anyone, I know it solved my problem.  Maybe others did the same thing and are experiencing the same problem.

I did that and it still does not work. That solution does not always work for some of us. Any more ideas?

At this point, it doesn't seem that anyone on this board knows what is going on with your site.    When you wrote Mike did you send your access instructions?  If not, I would write him again and include your FTP, control panel, and Dolphin admin passwords and ask them to take a look at it.

Yes I did chat with mike about this and he had access to my site. Also another Boonex admin looked at it but was looking for a problem that was already fixed. Zarcon do you still have my info from before? If not send me email and will update you. You can see in the admin section my license is posted in the variables I think it is.
