Boonex logo not removed despite perpetual license and clearing cache

Hello,

I am having the same problem as countless people, as I am seeing on reading the forum and the web.

Despite having purchased a license, the boonex banners and logos are still there both at the top and at the footer.

I have also gone FTP and cleared the folder Cache except the .htpaccess file

I have also emptied the Cache Public folder

I have removed the license number, saved the page with a blank space in the licence field

I have logged in back through the administration panel,

I have been prompted to enter the license number

and as other users, the banners are still there.

Any solution to this ?

Thank you

Do you have allow_url_fopen enabled?

Go to Administration > Tools > Host Tools > Phpinfo and make sure allow_url_fopen is listed as "On." If it's not, you'll have to enable it using a php.ini file.

Hi

It is ON as I can see. In both, local and master value

The only reason why I can see this happening other than the above is that you're entering a free license instead of a permanent one.

You will also want to go back to the boonex license section and see if the licence you're entering is showing up as registered.

One other note. The bottom boonex ad area is only one removed by the licence.

The one at the top i think you're referring to as the logo. It's not part of the normal branding. You can replace that from admin -> settings.

Hello, thanks to both for your help.

Hmm, Deano you mentioned the word "replace", that is, as I noted, I can't just remove it. I have to put something instead, yet that isn't very convenient if I dont have anything ready as of now, but I would like to at least now having the "powered by boonex software" logo out. The rest seems to have gone away but that logo just stays. But even if you try to replace it, that is not that easy because there is a transparent gif and underneath it is the text, and because of being that close to the Main tabs, you could obfuscate them with anything else. Truly, it would much better if it could just go away without any more fussing.

Are you talking about the logo at the top of the page that says "Community?" You can change that (as said by deano) from Administration > Settings > Basic Settings. It's just demo content.

Sorry. You will have to bring the automatic removal of the main logo up with boonex. That is intended to be replaced with your own site logo.

Yea, maybe you better show us a screen shot of what your referring to so we know exactly what you are seeing.
