there is nothing chris. there is not even a mailer log from the mailer that is used on dolphin. the mail gets queued, and the mail gets sent, thats the end of it.

If that's the same blank email problem everyone else has been complaining about, good luck. LOL. If you solve it, please let me in on the secret.

I'll bet the subject line reads something like this '?UTF8?' ??

Imagine that and yes that is the issue..........People getting those e-mails about nothing............One of the members got 14 e-mails within a 5 minute period after I sent out three broadcast message's 1 To each office with as many as 60 fans.  I did see the broadcast e-mails in the system message's but no way to track who got it?  I find this to be quite a flaw in the ability to track down the phantom e-mails.  I find it almost unthinkable as there always seems to be something somewhere keeping track of whatever.  If Dos say's there isn't I believe him as I could not find anything anywhere and I looked.

I can't think of a better way to run people off than to SPAM their e-mail with e-mail messages that the owner of the site has to say, I am sorry, I have no idea how that happened and further neither does the system, how long do you think they will be I understand this is a beta test for you?  In my mind this is a MAJOR PROBLEM and clearly I am not the only one having the issue.  Is there a ticket for this?  Please I need to hear back from someone on how to deal with this Member ending issue.................

If you ignore a problem does it go away or does it just become a bigger one? 15 email in a 5 minute period and not even a response? Hmmmm Really?!?!?

Well not to panic you but I was just working with another webmaster who's mail queue in WHM kept filling up with THOUSANDS of emails from that stupid "match" system. I believe these are the same emails you're dealing with. We turned off matching, they didn't stop. We deleted the match tables from the Dolphin database, they didn't stop. We ended up backing up the whole site and deleting the account from WHM. Creating a new account in WHM and restoring the site.. FINALLY no more emails.  I HATE fixing a problem and not knowing what actually caused the problem. Since deleting the account in WHM fixed it I have to guess that once these emails start going out maybe they get stuck in a bounce back loop? So that even when you turn the feature off it's too late. I guess I would warn everyone that the FIRST thing you should do after you install Dolphin is turn off that stupid match making feature under advanced settings.. because once people start joining and Dolphin unleashes it's spam fury on them you'll end up pulling your hair our trying to stop it... and to Boonex I would suggest maybe not adding a feature that is turned on by default that will randomly shoot hundreds of emails an hour to every site member based on random percentages.

Csampson my first suggestion to you would be to go in your advanced settings and make sure matching is turned OFF.. then go in WHM and clear your mail queue.

DosDawg, I know there was a post a while back where you were helping someone with the flood of match emails. Did you ever find a resolution? (hopefully better than mine of deleting the whole site and restoring).

So is that the end of it?  I would think that this would get someone's attention who might address what could STOP A SITE IN IT'S tracks.................If you have member's who don't care about getting messages from a phantom I guess you are OK but most people I know would leave a site quickly if it can't be stopped...............

And what about the site members who will never even say that they're getting spammed? They'll just block the site's email as spam. And then none of the NEEDED messages get through. Plus the fact that you've just undone all of your hard work on creating a site brand as a place they've wanted to come visit - and without even being aware that it is happening your site brand is now "annoying spammer."

This is totally unacceptable. I want to know and track EVERY SINGLE EMAIL that is sent out from my site!!!!! Please tell me that this is not an outrageous thing for a webmaster to want??

Well guys... I have an even bigger problem...

I have been beating the some old horses to death, and now have nowhere to dump the horsemeat!  Hell restaurants don't even serve horse burgers anymore and D7 is creating a mess!

Anyway, I realized that the mass mailer did not ever function ... from V6 to the present. I implement PHPLIST and have it installed as a subdomain.  Effective list management, and you can do ques, throttled, import/export, and templates! Been using this solution for 5 yrs and never liked the option of not having a way to manage, track and have emails properly sent without total control....
