Broadcast message errors

Today I sent a broadcast message to event participants and it looks like this :

Hey,\r\n\r\nBlijkbaar is het te warm voor een \'zomers\' etentje, want we zijn slechts met z\'n 3.\r\n\r\nJammer genoeg moet ik dit etentje dus uitstellen tot latere datum.\r\n\r\nToch bedankt voor jullie inschrijving. \r\n\r\nMisschien tot op de fuif in augustus ?\r\n\r\nGroetjes\r\nAnne

Is there a fix for this problem ?

No one else having this problem ?

A quick search shows that this is related to magic_quotes_gpc being disabled.

And maybe also a hint where I can enable them ?

Your local php.ini file. If you do not have access to this file, contact your web hosting provider to make the needed changes for you.

Thanks Magnussoft, my host enabled them. Problem solved.

Obviously, that did not solve the problem. Today I sent another broadcast message to event members and again there were unwanted characters in the text.

The magic_quotes_gpc have been enabled and the problem is still there.

Any more ideas ?

Well ... I sent this problem to my host and all of a sudden ... the probem was solved. I really don't trust them anymore. They don't give any explanation and make it seem as if it was a 'temporarily' problem. Hate it when they treat their customers like dummies.
