Browse by state

Hello,

Ok I've been editing my BxBaseBrowse file for a while now, trying to get the functionality to browse members by state.  I have a state list defined and it is required to register for the site.  but when I go to the site all I get is _State {empty}.  Is there a specific line I need to change?  I basically wanted to replace Country with state.  Same goes for filtering classifieds.  BTW could somebody tell me with script runs the browse classifieds files?

Thanks

Chri

Bump.

Is there an admin panel feature that controls these?  I have the predefined lists setup, I just want to be able to filter by state rather than country.

Could somebody at least tell me which php files to work with?

I want to replace country with state in the following modules:

  • Ads
  • Groups
  • Events
  • People Search

You need to change the predifined list for countries and delete all the countries in the list  then add the state names in alpha order.   Then look in langs settings    search for country and change all to the word state or states.

You may want to look at the MOD Dependent - Country - Region - City

http://www.boonex.com/unity/extensions/entry/Dependent_Country_Region_City

This adds the region field to the profile and also has all the tabular input for all the values!
