Calendar

We have downloaded Dolphin 7.0 and trying to figure it out.  Two questions if we may,

1.  Is there a nice full manual somewhere?

2. How do we enter events into the calendar?

We have the free version for testing, not sure if thats an issue or not, but when we go to Calendar, there is no where to add events or anything to the calendar.

Thanks,

Richard

Licence or not. Makes no difference. The licence does one thing. Removes the boonex ads from the bottom of the page. Thats it. The product is fully functional without a licence.

1) No manual.

2) Thats not what the calendar is for. The calendar just shows activity that has taken place on the site and on what day. For example. the calendar in the menu under people will show what days new members signed up. The calendar in the menu under photos will show the days in which photos were added to the site. And clicking on those entries shows only those items. The calendar is not like the google calendar. It is not designed for what you think it's for.

Ok, is there a mod or plugin calendar that will do that?  Thats one of the big functionalities we are looking for in the system we are trying to build.

If you click "Market" at the top of the page you can search for "calendar".. the top result looks like what you might be looking for:

you could always put your scope together, and there are a few of us in here who could and would point you to the mods that are in existence, or point you in the direction of where you can get it custom coded.

modzzz has an excellent groups mods advanced groups i think it was. but it would create the calendar events for the grouips, but the cooler thing he had it doing was generating chat rooms based on the group.
