Can Groups Have Private Files?

Can someone else confirm that files can be download even by non-members of the Dolphin site?

I have a group and the settings are:

View Group: Public

View Fans: Public

Comment: Fans Only

Rate: Fans only

Post in Forum: Fans Only

Join: Members

Join Confirmation: Enabled

Upload Photos: Admins Only

Upload Videos: Admins Only

Upload Sounds: Admin Only

Upload Files: Admins Only

Right now anyone that goes to the group member or not can download the files. Can I make that Fans Only somehow?

I think you need to amend the memberships. This is my first time helping out so sorry if it's not correct but i think if you go to go membershp levels and click on the membership type you want to amend you will then be able to enable or disable members action. There is a action called "files download" clicking this to remove the tick should stop those specific members in that membership band from downloading anything.

Confirmed.  There really should be a control for this when creating/editing the group.  You can at least hide the file block from non-members... if that's an option for you.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

@student jug - my site is all free so there are no member levels. Besides, non-members can access the files.

@houstonlively - thank for confirming this

For now I have just set View Group to Members so at least the public cant see it.
