Can't access member profiles

Hi all,

I have just created a website on datesocial.co.uk. Whilst testing the website I noticed that I cannot view the profile pages of "other members" (the other members are actually me). I click on their photos but it just takes me back to the homepage.

I noticed that page access control won't work in my modules, and that opensocial wont install, do you think that has anything to do with it? I also changed the code in the templates>base>css common, index and general (to change the background colour and get rid of the "join the community" banner, but I wondered if I that could accidently cause this problem? I'm a bit of a virgin when it comes to coding :S

Any help is much appreciated, thanks

I'd do a re-install first then make backups of the files you edit before you edit them.

Who's your hosting provider? (please don't say 1&1)

DC is correct, I would do a fresh install and make copies of the files you change. When the site stops doing a certain function, replace the edited file with the backup to make sure that is the problem.

Did you do a search of how to remove the banner and follow those directions?

Cheers guys, I'm gonna re-install it now. My hosting provider is free-hosting, i spose you get what you pay for, but I don't suppose you know if they have been trouble  in the past?

I've reloaded all the original files to the public_html folder, and its sort of back to how it was (e.g. the blocks I had before remained the same, but all of the coding stuff has turned back to default (background now white again, join the community is back etc.)). However I still got the same problem? Any ideas please? thanks

He's already done that, read the topic before replying!

I'd say it's your hosting provider, I could host your website for a small fee, other than that try one of the dolphin certified hosters.

I've tried reinstalling the whole thing but now it's coming up with:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getClassPrefix() on a non-object in/home/datesoci/public_html/templates/base/scripts/BxBaseSearchResultSharedMedia.php on line 134

on my homepage and nothing else. Is this fixable or is free-hosting just crap?

free hosting is not so good enough for dolphin you should go for a paid one(atleast when traffic increase).

Can you give us some screenshoots of admin panel - tools - host tools.

i would like to see the configuration of your server. if it can run dolphin or not ........:)

so much to do....
