Can't locate these menu elements with Firebug!

I'm having a problem with the sub-menu backgrounds of the main tabbed menu. There are two or three colors that I'd like to change there but when I use firebug and scroll down ... the previously highlighted color vanishes, preventing me from getting the info. to that. I need to know where I can change these three colors of which I'm pretty sure that two colors are the same.

1. The highlighted color once you've stopped on a main menu tab.

2. The translucent background of the color beneath that, as well as how and where to change that transparency.

3. The highlight color of a sub-menu item once you move down and stop with your cursor on such an item.

I believe the colors for number 1 and 3 are the same which would make sense. I've already changed the font and color, that was no problem. The image itself for the top menu was a bit of a stickler but ultimately resolved as well. Those three related colors/items are still eluding me though. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have been messing around with this issue also. I am not exactly sure what you have going on there, but mine were not colors, they were actual .png's. I just uploaded new ones and replaced the originals. Maybe this answer isnt what you are looking for.

I've been up for 34 hours straight. I need to sleep. I'll help you when I get up. In the meanwhile, could you maybe post some screenshot of what you mean and circled it or something. Showing examples are easier than written.

Thanks Audanban & houstonlively. Here's that image. I figured as much since I did find the main colors of just the top menu which were indeed images, but using firebug didn't shed any light on the location issue for the rest ... weeks after I'd already made dozens of other changes. Sure, I've kept track of all of the changes in the respective files and made backups before and after, but I didn't keep much of a separate text log ....
Those transparent pngs on the main menu were a pain in the rump to change, had to duplicate for a copy, then delete, and then recreate from scratch. For some reason that was the only way that I could override the existing colors on the main menu.
How do you adjust just the level of transparency for the background without touching the image (not talking about the highlight/selection)?
