Can't reply to Private messages - Send button does nothing

I am trying to reply to private messages in my inbox but it's not working.

When  I click the "send" button nothing happens.

Any ideas?

this seems to be a browser issue

for some unknown reason the PC i was using earlier did not load the tinymce in the reply form and this seems to have affected the sending of the form.

it works otherwise
