Can't use modules after installation

After I have installed module articles successfully, I found 2 problems.

(1) cant visit articles modules from home page, all URL in menu Articles are invalid, such as http://localhost/m/articles/index/ 

By the way,there is no m directory in web root directory.

(2)The link in admin Panel->modules->Articles is invalid. The URL is http://localhost/m/avatar/administration/

Is this a bug or my mistake in module installation?

I had the same problem...

If you're using localhost on windows, you'll need to turn off permalinks. Go to admin --> Settings --> Permalinks. Uncheck "friendly permalinks in avatars". While you're there, you're probably best to uncheck the others as well.

Seems to be because mod_rewrite won't work on windows, so SEF URL's need to be turned off... For localhost testing I guess it doesn't really matter anyway.
