Change Access Denied to a Login Form???

Hi,

I think this topic is already asked, but I searched around and still couldn't find it.

Can anyone please tell me how to replace the Access Denied message with a login form when an user is not login or not a registered user?

I think Boonex should do this in the next update. It looks really unprofessional when just saying Access Denied. I think many guests wouldn't know what is going on and just click off the site since they couldn't find what they're looking for.

Thanks,

The organization/structure seems to be all over the place. Some pages direct you to a login form (Notifier) while others send you to a dreaded access denied message with no explanation to the user?!? Of course, you can restrict page access to certain sections and manage membership permissions, but I still haven't figured out the the difference between the two.

There's a couple ideas that have been offered up:

1) Go to Settings > Language > Manage Keys

You can either:

- Modify the access denied message with your own custom message. Although, check out your page title if you do this option. Not a very good solution.

- Create a redirect to the login page using javascript. Once again, not a very good solution since the user might have javascript disabled.

I don't believe either method is suitable. I'm still trying to figure out the differences between restricting page access and membership permssions!?!

So, the quesition is, what is the best solution for this?

Bump for answers/views.

They are only getting the access denied message because they are accessing a menu item that should not be available to them as a guest in the first place. Make sure the menu items are marked 'members only' instead of guest if they are linked to a member restricted page.

Which page you want to change???

For example: Browsing profiles

Edit the browse.php

Add This :

//Check if Logged In

check_logged();

if(!isLogged()) {

login_form();

exit;

}

After This:

$_ni = $_page['name_index'];
